Every person should feel comfortable in their own skin. Recognizing today’s trends of accepting each person’s uniqueness and praising our flaws, we forget that feeling comfortable in your own skin is personal. Our goal was to create a very natural looking, long lasting camouflage for those living with vitiligo or similar skin conditions.

How it all started

Our team is made from a very unlikely group of creative individuals that were working on a cosmetic project. Our backgrounds ranged from international marketing to design to botanical science and finance. While all successful in our own fields we all thought that there could be a higher purpose to cosmetics. The real motivation began when we met a young woman at a trade show in California. She had vitiligo spots covering most of her back. After sharing her story she told us that there wasn’t a cosmetic that she could rely on to cover her vitiligo without smearing or coming off. We were surprised that there was nothing usable in the market for this need.
The team went back to the lab and formulated a product that would camouflage vitiligo and not easily rub off. Zanderm emerged as a unique camouflage that was suitable for people with light spots or vitiligo. Seeing the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others, we developed a clean, quick drying, long lasting formula into applicators that would put the camouflage exactly where it was needed. We continue to innovate and improve our products to give people who want to cover their vitiligo the best experience with minimal effort and with maximum impact.
